TOP 16 QUALIFY FOR MATCHPLAY - TOP FOUR FROM SEASON POINTS LIST ARE EXEMPT TO MATCHPLAY

Sudden death playoff will determine 16th place and final matchplay spot, play will begin on #18 at the conclusion of play if needed. Rotation will be 18, 18, 17, 18, 10, 16, 17, 18.

LIFT, CLEAN PLACE IN EFFECT ALL WEEK
A ball lying in “ALL CLOSLEY MOWN GRASS” may be lifted, without penalty, and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark its position. Having lifted the ball, he must place it on a spot within ONE CLUB LENGTH, of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a Penalty Area, bunker and not on a putting green.
A player may place his ball only once, and it is in play when it has been placed. If the ball fails to come to rest on the spot on which it is placed, Rule 14-2e applies. If the ball when placed comes to rest on the spot on which it is placed and it subsequently moves, there is no penalty and the ball must be played as it lies, unless the provisions of any other Rule apply.
NOTE: “CLOSLEY MOWN GRASS” means any grass that is regularly cut to fairway height or less; fairways, tees, walkthroughs, fringes

SUPPLEMENTARY RULES OF PLAY
These should be used in conjunction with the 2023 GProTour Hard Card. Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: Two Strokes

Due to the lack of cell phone coverage, if players are not able to reach a rules official and you are able to play two balls, players are encouraged to do so to help maintain pace of play.

ELECTRONIC MEASURING DEVICES: In this competition “a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3.
Penalty for Breach of Rule 4.3:
1.Penalty for first breach from single act or related acts: General Penalty.
2.Penalty for second breach unrelated to first breach: Disqualification. This penalty applies even if the nature of the breach was entirely different than the breach resulting in the first penalty.

OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by:
a) perimeter fencing/Walls and property line walls when tied to OB stakes;
b) inside edge of all public roads and their curbing
c) a ball that crosses a paved road is deemed to be out of bounds even if it comes to rest on another part of the golf course.
d) White lines Tying white stakes together
e) WHITE LINES that boarder the property – even when NOT tied to stakes.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR:
a)French drains filled with stones;
b) Seams of cut turf for lie ONLY
c)White lined areas marked with GPro written in GUR

NAUTICAL THEMED YARDAGE MARKERS: will be treated as immovable obstructions .

TWO + TWO: player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is: On the line of play and is: Within two club-lengths of the putting green, and Within two club-lengths of the ball. Exception – No Relief If Line of Play Clearly Unreasonable.

DAMAGED/BROKEN CLUB: If a player’s club is “broken or significantly damaged” during the round by the player or caddie, except in cases of abuse, the player may replace the club with any club under Rule 4.1b(4).When replacing a club, the player must immediately take the broken or significantly damaged club out of play, using the procedure in Rule 4.1c(1).
For the purposes of this Local Rule:
A club is “broken or significantly damaged” when:
-the shaft breaks into pieces, splinters or is bent (but not when the shaft is only dented)
-the club face impact area is visibly deformed (but not when the club face is only scratched)
-the clubhead is visibly and significantly deformed
-the clubhead is detached or loose from the shaft, or
-the grip is loose.
Exception: A club face or clubhead is not “broken or significantly damaged” solely because it is cracked.
Penalty for Breach of Local Rule – See Rule 4.1b. ”

BULKHEADS AND BRIDGES: will be played as integral parts of the course, no such relief will be given. A ball that comes to rest on a bridge, is classed within a penalty area.

DRAINAGE CHANNELS: Throughout the property will be treated as the general area.

DROP ZONES: Drop zones are provided as an additional option under Rule 14.3 Hole, #6, Approx. 100yards, Hole #7 Located in the fairway approx. 100yards for a ball that does not carry the penalty area short of the green AND two back left and right that are designated for a ball in the penalty area behind the green. If a player cannot find a point nearer the hole and/or chooses may use the nearest DZ to where their ball last crossed. There is H/W marking defining the middle point between the two dz’s. Hole #14. Approx. 100yards

SCORING: scorecards are deemed to have been returned when a player leaves the Albemarle room upstairs doorway
