Haarlep is an incubus in Baldur's Gate 3, which doesn't make them a trustworthy creature. A deal with an incubus can lead to fatal consequences, and the deal Haarlep offers the player is no exception. When you meet them, you can immediately rush in to attack or talk. In the second case, the incubus will invite you to play a game. If you refuse Haarlep's deal in BG3, a battle will begin.

Even though you only have one incubus and a few summoned imps against you, this battle can be very annoying. Haarlep can use Incubus Charm to charm your allies for three turns. In addition, the Ethereal Escape ability makes them immune to all types of damage until the end of their turn.

Before accepting Haarlep's deal, players should understand that doing so will result in their character receiving an unusual curse for the rest of the playthrough.

In exchange for you playing Haarlep's game, they will share some interesting information regarding Raphael. You will have several dialogue options to choose from. The first dialogue option will allow Haarlep to do whatever they want. The second and third are Wisdom or Performance saving throws. If one is successful, you can make a Constitution saving throw to abandon the Haarlep games and start a battle with them.

If you decide to go all the way, Haarlep will continue to bring the protagonist a sense of pleasure. As a result, you will find out the location of Raphael's safe and even the key to it. But, of course, not everything is as simple as it seems.

Haarlep will be able to adopt the protagonist's physical appearance. Although this may not sound very dangerous, it has unique consequences. Every time Haarlep plays his game with someone while in the protagonist's form, the protagonist will feel it. This can happen randomly, and when it does, your character will have to make a Constitution saving throw. If you fail, your character will feel what Haarlep is feeling, which will not please those around you, especially your companions. Aside from that, there is no other real downside to accepting Haarlep's deal, but it can make for a few awkward moments in one's Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough

That's everything players need to know about Haarlep's deal in Baldur's Gate 3. Though it's possible to benefit from both outcomes, accepting the deal may result in players receiving a new feature for their character that they may not enjoy, so it's important to consider both options carefully before deciding which one to pick.
