January is a time full of good intentions. Of new workout goals, packed lunches at office desks, drawers uncluttered andholidays booked . Or at least you’ve probably thought about all these things, and maybe even embarked on a couple of them.

Healthy eating, though, seems to be a perennial concern, a growing trend that is gradually getting folded into our lives in a more inherent way than just a new years resolution. From choosing avocados over eggs benedict to having a green juice with your coffee, we’re more aware of how the food choices we make can affect out physical and emotional wellbeing.

However when it’s cold outside and the Christmas trees have come down and the daylight has disappeared by 5pm it can be easy to reach for comfort food that provides quick fixes but won’t necessarily feed your soul. Chocolate, cake, burger and fries. And why not? Whatever gets you through the winter is fine, in moderation.
