How much does it cost to camp at Cheney Lake? ›

Fees for camping at Cheney State Park are: RV Camp Sites are $10 per site per night with one camping unit per site. An additional cost is $11 a night for 30 AMP electrical service w/water, and those are in Lakeview, Marina and North Loop campgrounds.

Cheney Reservoir is a reservoir on the North Fork Ninnescah River in Reno, Kingman, and Sedgwick counties of Kansas in the United States. Built and managed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for local water supply, it is also used for flood control and recreation.

The lake consists of 9,600 surface acres of water. The State Park consists of 1,913 acres in three counties on the South end of the lake, both on the East shore and West Shore.

The centerpiece of the Park is a 258-acre lake, constructed by the Works Progress Administration between 1939 and 1942. The Park provides boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming opportunities, a public shooting range, camping facilities, shelter houses and a grocery/bait shop.

In addition to a marina on the East Shore, the park's 22 boat-launching lanes provide convenient access to the 9,600-acre lake. Giefer Creek and Spring Creek nature trails offer scenic hiking around the lake. A handicapped-accessible fishing area is available at the Toadstool Loop Jetty.

Fish species in Cheney Reservoir include wiper, chan- nel catfish, crappie, white bass, walleye, blue catfish and White perch*.

Cheney Lake is in a residential area of Anchorage in south-central Alaska. The lake covers approximately 22 acres and has a mean depth of 5.8 feet and a maximum depth of 14 feet.
