The Best Breakfast Snack

This easy mango smoothie is fabulous for snacks or breakfast and will keep you feeling fresh and satisfied all day long.

I have hang-ups… I’ll admit it. They say all artists do. *wink*

For instance, I only drinkhotcaffeine in the afternoon, to get me through the 3 pm slump.

I don’t like sweet breakfast foods in the morning; I’d rather have them as dessert. (Like waffles!)

And I won’t drink a smoothie, no matter how good it tastes, unless it also comes in a pretty color.

So today’s mango smoothie with green tea is my new favorite, because it’s sweet, but not too sweet, comes in a pretty color, and the caffeine is in fact cold.

It might be my perfect breakfast.

This creamy mango smoothie combines tangy mangoes with the earthy quality of green tea. And since we’re getting a good dose of green tea first thing in the morning, you’ll be buzzing around and fighting cancer all in one fell swoop!

Mango Smoothie Pro Tips

Sometimes I cut mangoes and place them in the freezer if they are on the verge of going bad. Ripe frozen mango is a good substitute for fresh.

I have also been known to make up a pitcher of green tea to keep in the fridge for smoothie making.

If you like your smoothies extra thick, keeping all the ingredients chilled is the key.

Yet even if you brew up one cup of hot green tea and place it in the freezer for a few minutes to cool, you’ll still end up with a cool refreshing mango smoothie with a silky texture.

You can also add protein powder to your mango smoothie if you like. Or powdered greens… But then the color wouldn’t be pretty.
