Mrs. Vodene Eddings, age 88, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, a member of the DAV Auxiliary, and a homemaker.
Mrs. Eddings is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Kay (Lewis) Beckham of Mayfield, KY; two grandchildren, Stuart (Dana) Beckham and Stephanie Beckham Cornwell; eight great grandchildren, Brad Haney, Tyler Beckham, Tanner Beckham, Grayson Beckham, Jordan Beckham, Madison Jameson, Morgan Jameson and Savannah Cornwell; and one sister, Laverne Russell of Ocala, FL.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Barnhill; one sister, Betty Atherton; one brother, Ben Butler; one grandson, Jason Beckham; three step-sons, Eugene Barnhill, Hank Barnhill and Terry Barnhill; her first husband, Lester Barnhill; her second husband, Aubrey Eddings; and her parents, Frank and Lillie Johnson Butler.
Funeral services for Mrs. Vodene Eddings will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Byrn Funeral Home of Mayfield. Rev. Richard Dowdy will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Max Russell, Mark Russell, Steve Butler, Richard Atherton, Billy Looper, Jerry Lamkins, Robert Eddings and Jerry Dunaway. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Barnhill, Bill Adams, Gary Campbell and Larry Calhoun.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
