Origin Story
Papa Gino's is one of the most popular pizza places across New England. Our story starts back in 1961 when Michael Valerio and his wife, Helen, opened a restaurant in East Boston.
Michael and his family had moved to Boston from Italy. And what they brought with them were their passion for cooking and original Italian family recipes.
The name of their first pizzeria was Piece O' Pizza but later on, in 1968, they changed it to Papa Gino's. Around that time they also decided to bring their business to a new level, and so new Papa Gino's locations started to get open.
All these years later, our restaurant still offers that same authentic Italian flavor. We now have many locations throughout New England and we're proud to serve any pizza lover that comes through our doors.
Michael and Helen left us a tremendous legacy to take care of, and so we make sure to offer the highest quality of food and service at all times. On that note, we look forward to serving you and we hope you become one of our many loyal customers.
Pizza Culture
At Papa Gino's, the pizza chefs are on top of their game. They handmake every pizza and they don't even use timers. As for our pizza dough, we make it fresh daily and only use a few simple ingredients. We also craft our own special tomato sauce and have a unique blend of premium cheeses.
Of course, we also still use the aforementioned Michael and Helen's original family recipes which give all our pizzas that unique Italian flavor.
With that being said, let's take a closer look at our pizza selection. For a start, you can choose to create your own pie and select the toppings and size that you prefer. Next, you can try some of our premium specialty pizzas. These include our Meat Combo, chicken bacon ranch, and Italian sausage ricotta pie, to name a few.
In addition, we serve a number of classic specialty pizzas. One great example would be our so-called Works pie which comes with our cheese blend, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and more.
Last but not least, we also have several gluten-free options such as our flavorsome Super Veggie pizza. This one comes with black olives, white onions, broccoli, our signature cheese blend, and other fresh ingredients.
The Menu
But hey, we're more than just a pizza spot! In fact, our menu features plenty of other tasty dishes as well.
First on our list are our delicious appetizers which you can pair with your main course. You can get our barbecue chicken tenders, or perhaps our scrumptious Buffalo chicken wings. Or you could also start off your meal with one of our fresh salads.
Furthermore, we have a great selection of sandwiches. You can try our Turkey club, steak & cheese pocket, meatball parmigiana, crispy chicken, a classic burger with fries, and then some.
In the mood for pasta? No problem, we also offer irresistible pasta dishes like our cheese ravioli, bacon mac & cheese, pasta marinara, chicken & broccoli alfredo, and others.
Moreover, you should definitely check out our selection of toothsome desserts and ice cream. You can treat yourself to a brownie, candy cookie, Ben & Jerry's vanilla ice cream, or any other sweet option from our menu.
