This recipe comes from my sweet Grandma. I always think of her when I make it. This homemade dressing is so good, plus it keeps in your fridge for up to two weeks (if it lasts that long). Serve up a wedge salad bar and this dressing will be the star!

While there’s very little better than a good wedge salad with homemade Roquefort salad dressing, there is a way to bump it up a bi with all the delicious toppings. In fact, the toppings can make or break a salad in my opinion. Some of our favorite toppings:

  • Bacon crumbles, Pre-cook it and keep them in your fridge or freezer for ease
  • Hard Boiled Eggs are a perfect and easy protein choice
  • Red Onion, sliced thin
  • Croutons
  • Radishes, sliced
  • Tomatoes, cherry or grape tomatoes
  • Sunflower Seeds are such a great form of healthy fats.
  • Dried or fresh fruit – Cranberries, pomegranate arils, raspberries are great choices. They can be a fun flavor surprise
  • Fresh herbs, like basil or parsley, can be a delicious unexpected addition
