Very close knit community well worth a visit. Prides itself on tourist features along with a rich history nestled in the Green Mountains.

Woodstock is a beautiful resort town in central Vermont. Most of the jobs are with the anchor resort, The Woodstock Inn. Most of the affordable housing is shared employee housing owned by The Woodstock Inn. Many smaller hotels and inns also offer employment, and many of the town's employees live in other towns and commute to work.
There are several restaurants focused on serving the large year-round tourist population. There are many opportunities for outdoor recreation, including hiking, paddling, and winter sports activities. There are a few small stores locally, and shopping and dining out is accomplished in neighboring towns. There is no nightlife here.
