The Paducah Sun Wednesday, February 6, 1991 DEATHS Rev. Dorothy Dowdy FULTON, Ky. The Rev. Dorothy Dowdy, 48, of Southside Manor Nursing Home in South Fulton, died Monday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. Mrs.

Dowdy was a member of Faith and Deliverence Full Gospel Church and a former employee of the Henry I. Seigel Plant. Surviving her parents, Andrew and Edith Eddington Pannell of South Fulton; two daughters, Rebecca Collier and Dorothy Faye both of South Fulton; three sons, Gene Pannell, Willie Gilliland Jr. and Doug Gilliland, all of South Fulton; three brothers, Steve Pannell and Floyd Pannell, both of South Fulton, and Wayne Pannell of Mounds, a sister, Mary, Crumble of Fulton; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Pannell.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hornbeak Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Dodd will officiate and burial will be in Greenlea Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m.

today at the funeral home. Clarence Browne Services for Clarence "Skipper" Browne, 43, of 430 N. 14th Apt. 6, will be at noon Thursday at Hamock Funeral Home. The Rev.

Edward Ballard will officiate. Burial will be in Maplelawn Cemetery. Mr. Browne died at 4 p.m. Saturday at his home.

A graduate of Lincoln High School, Mr. Browne attended Murray State University and Kentucky State College. He was an Army veteran of World War I and member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church. His father, Birdus W. Browne, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his mother, Mamie L. Browne of Paducah; three daughters, Heather R. Browne of Champaign, Brittany Browne and Tamara Browne, both of Paducah; a son, Monty Browne of Metropolis; two grandchildren, two aunts. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m.

Thursday. Special visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday. John Cummins REEVESVILLE, Ill. John Lewis Cummins, 83, of Reevesville, died at 3 a.m.

Tuesday at his home. Mr. Cummins owned and operated grocery stores in the Johnson and Massac County areas for 38 years. He attended Reevesville Assembly of God Church. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis. The Rev. Steve Watkins will officiate. Burial will be i in Reevesville Cemetery in Johnson County. Mr.

Cummins is survived by a daughter, Joan Dowd of Reevesville; a son, Bruce Cummins of Metropolis; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, six sisters-in-law. His wife, Aline Reeves Cummins, four sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. His parents were John and Sarah Griffin Cummins. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Reevesville Assembly of God Church or any charity. Sam Conley SEDALIA, Ky. Sam Conley, 72, of Sedalia Rt. 1, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Community Hospital in Mayfield.

Arrangements were incomplete at Byrn Funeral Home. Hugh Sadler EDDYVILLE, Ky. Hugh Sadler, 74, of Eddyville died at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mr.

Sadler was a member of Iron Workers Local No. 395 in Hammond, Ind. His wife, Ernestine Sadler, preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Danny Sadler of Hammond; four daughters, Sue New Hope, Carol Ann Engler and Judi Bisbee, both of Hammond, and Jerri Dust of Dyer, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Elwood Sadler of Evansville, four sisters, Rhea Herring and Marcella Parrent, both of Lyon County, Ruby Sharp of Princeton and Ernestine Chelcowski of Hopkinsville. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Thursday at Dunn's Mortuary. The Rev. Willis McCracken will officiate with the Rev. Richard Tapscott assisting. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. Anton Hall Graveside services for Anton Gregory Hall, 25, of Plantation, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold T.

Alston of Paducah, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. 0. Kent Johnson will officiate.

Mr. Hall died at 2 a.m. Friday from injuries he suffered in an automobile accident in Florida. In addition to his grandparents, he is survived by a son, Jordan Anton Hall; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Artis Hall of Plantation; a sister, Ardis Hall of Plantation; a stepbrother, Kenneth Perry of Daytona Beach, his grandfather, George Spurlin of Evansville, several aunts and uncles. Roy Brown KARNAK, Ill. Roy Brown, 79, of Fairmount City, formerly of Karnak, died Monday at 9:57 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Mr.

Brown was a retired switchman for the Terminal Railroad Co. His wife, Evelyn Brown, preceded him in death. His parents were Gus and Ina Gray Brown. Surviving are two daughters, Connie Brown of Fairmount City, and Linda McLemore of Troy; three sons, Charles Brown of 0'Fallon, Kenneth Brown and Gerald Brown, both of Fairmount City; a sister, Doris Douglas of Karnak; a brother, Clarence Brown of Detroit, 10 grandchildren, two great -grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Moore was a retired seamstress and member of Coleman Avenue Church of Christ, in Memphis. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanette Yarbrough of Memphis; two sons, Ernest F. Turnbow of Louisville, and Turnbow of Memphis; a brother, Cornelius L. Tidwell of Lynn Grove; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Turnbow; a daughter, Elizabeth Evans; three sisters, Nola Carr, Laura Kemp and Lottie Watson; a brother, Ples Tidwell, and a grandchild. Her parents were Lon and Vallie Brown Tidwell. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Hill was a foreman at Paducah Marine Ways 1 for many years and was a member of East Baptist Church. Surviving are a granddaughter, Carol Bachuss of Paducah; a brother, Paul Hill of Paducah; three great-granddaughters and five great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Opal Hill, and three daughters preceded him in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lindsey Funeral Home.

The Rev. Richard Edmiston and the Rev. James O. Green will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Calloway County.
